POLICY

We were not issued a receipt. This is our reality. Unlike the latest fashion or trend we cannot return it and promptly receive a new version. We cannot update our reality with the click of a button. There is no exchange for existing hierarchies, we cannot ask for a people with a new perspective. This is the paradigm which we have bought into. What we can do is work on it and with it. We can use our skills to change it. We can apply our knowledge, our enthusiasm and our ability to create positive change. THE MINISTRY OF VOICE provides this message as a commentary on the state of our consumer culture which is motivated by image and spectacle. Our capitalist society has provided us with a people who do not act. Our capitalist society has constructed a people unmotivated to express a genuine voice and attitude. THE MINISTRY OF VOICE calls you to reject these messages and make your voice heard.

We live in a society where we associate brands with experience. Certainly, we cannot rely upon the state or institutions to step in and make change. It is up to us. We must resist as individuals and build the resistance locally. We must make individual sacrifices. While these can easily become empty words, we must lead by example and reject that which we believe is not right. To live a life of convenience is to not live a life at all. All of our individual actions will have effect on the outcome. We do not know what the outcome will be, but we have the opportunity to vocalize our position. We can push towards an alternative direction. The vision for equality through social systems which respect the autonomy and individuality of each person will not happen automatically; is it not an inevitable realization. This is something which we must act upon now, this very moment.

We must act, not hesitate.
